1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use TesterRank, we may collect the following information:

  • Email address
  • Full name
  • LinkedIn URL (optional)
  • Learning progress and quiz scores
  • Profile picture (provided via Google OAuth, if you sign in with Google)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Account management — to create and maintain your account
  • Progress tracking — to save your learning progress, quiz scores, and completed steps
  • Leaderboard — to display your ranking among other learners (name and score only)
  • Transactional emails — to send account-related emails (password resets, purchase receipts)

3. Google OAuth

If you sign in using Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google. We do not access any other Google data such as contacts, calendar, or drive files.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
  • Razorpay — payment processing for paid products (e.g., cheatsheets). We do not store your credit/debit card details. All payment data is handled directly by Razorpay.
  • Google Analytics — to understand how users interact with the platform (page views, usage patterns). No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.
  • Google AdSense — to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
  • Resend — for transactional emails only. We do not send marketing or promotional emails.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only used to operate and improve TesterRank.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you delete your account, all your personal data, learning progress, and quiz scores are permanently removed from our systems.

7. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — for authentication and session management. Required for the platform to function.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics uses cookies to track page views and usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is shared.
  • Advertising cookies — Google AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can manage your ad preferences at Google Ads Settings or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from working correctly.
